2018 / wearable sculptures + meditative performances
Commissioned by House of Peroni and curated by Art Production Fund, To Trace a Body engages Jenny Sabin’s installation in the Smithsonian’s Kogod Courtyard as an otherworldly landscape. The project is comprised of wearable sculptures and meditative performances. To Trace a Body draws inspiration from the site’s architecture including floral motifs and the expansive skylight, as well as Italian journalist and writer Italo Calvino’s Cosmicomics, an absurd and profound recounting of the creation and evolution of the universe.
